The ProPride 3P hitch is the most advanced trailer sway control hitch available for your towing needs. Jim Hensley, the man who revolutionized hitch performance with his old design, has improved and enhanced his new design for your extraordinary towing experience. With easy installation and use you'll experience towing stability and safety unmatched by any hitch available.

Details

ProPride 3P main sway control unit

The ProPride 3P main unit consists of two 3/4" thick links that project the pivot point of the trailer forward to near the rear axle of your tow vehicle. By not allowing the trailer to pivot side-to-side on the ball trailer sway is eliminated.

3P Trailer Hitch main yoke

The ProPride Yoke keeps the main unit hitch ball from pivoting in the trailer coupler which would allow the trailer to sway.

3P Trailer Hitch weight distribution jack

Heavy duty weight distribution jacks allow you to distribute your tongue weight with precision and ease.

Trailer Hitch Bar Complete

The 3P adjustable hitch bar is designed for any tow vehicle and trailer combination now and in the future. It includes a bar tilt feature to compensate for hitch receivers that are not parallel to the ground. This tilt allows more efficient weight distribution for varying hitch receivers.

Relaxed driving, January 29, 2010

I had a Reese Dual Cam HP hitch prior to gettting the 3P from Sean. I tow a 34' Cougar with an Diesel SUV. The 3P hitch works wonderfully and reduces the intensity of the drive in cross winds, around semi's, etc. I have made the trip across the plains to the Rockies with both hitches and the 3P allows me to drive further and be more relaxed doing it. It's a great investment. Thanks Sean.

I had a friction type hitch before getting the 3P and it was a good hitch, but until you pull with a 3P you don't know what a good hitch is. We just completed a 500 mile trip and it was wonderful. Passing trucks, wind, nothing bothered us. With the previous hitch you definitely noticed passing trucks. You won't get any better customer service than with Sean. He is the best. If you buy a 3P you will NOT regret it.

My experience with the ProPride hitch, September 22, 2009
Reviewer: Nick Mimken from Asheville, NC - See all reviews by Nick Mimken

I purchased this hitch after returning a competitors product due to the improvements made in the design and the knowledge and experience of Sean in towing products.

Sean was very helpful after the sale in assisting me with my questions as I installed the hitch (not very handy) spending as much time as I needed. I never felt rushed by him and always responded quickly to my calls on the same day.

I now have just returned from a 5000 mile two month caravan with 15 other trailers over all sorts of roads and conditions. The trailer (1978 25 ft Airstream Tradewind) towed beautifully. It took a little adjusting with the load leveling bars to get the right set up and I could not have asked for anything more from the hitch. Several folks were impressed with the hitch on the caravan (even one with a Hensley hitch.)

My experience with the product, its performance and Sean's service has been outstanding and I do not hesitate to recommend him and his company.

Regards,
Nick Mimken

Extreme Cross Winds, September 10, 2009

We were coming home labour day weekend towing our 27' Jayco ultra lite with our Jeep GC diesel and the winds were extremely strong this day. The web said they were 64 gusting to 87 km/hr. (40-54mph)With the ProPride 3P hitch the trip home (1.5 hrs)was no problem in these strong crosswinds. We were able to maintain 80 km/h, with a direct crosswind, till we got out of the Park and then we drove at 95 km/h with the wind shifting to a crosswind from behind. The trailer did move some in the direct cross wind, but the Jeep was tracking straight down the hwy. I was a little leery about making the trip home because our previous conventional hitch with sway control did move our Jeep with a lesser crosswind. But, the PP3P hitch lived up to its design concept. The trailer did move a bit in the strong direct crosswind, but the Jeep tracked straight and was stable.
The PP3P hitch is worth the investment, especially when towing with a swb TV. So, thumbs up to Sean and Pro Pride 3P.

I tow a 2009 31ft travel trailer (6200 dry weight) with a 2008 ford expedition. This was a tramatic event and vowed to my wife that we will not go camping again until something is changed. I have a 17mo old daughter and there is no way I would put her in the position of a swaying vehicle and camper on the highway.
This hitch was relatively easy to install within a three hour window and has cured my sway problems. I highly recommend this hitch to anyone experiencing trailer sway.

Finally had a chance to really test the new hitch. See previous post for circumstances.
Round trip to Nova Scotia from NW Indiana. All kinds of conditions and weather. Hitch performed as advertised and one great feature over Orange is ease of hooking up. No comparison to Orange. Much, Much easier to hook up. Throw away your tongue twister. No more need for it. Wish my GY marathons were as safe as the 3P hitch Had two blowouts and the 3P hitch kept everything under control. If you have Good Year marathons on your trailer, you should definitely have the Pro Pride.
All in all, a good trip with no sway, ease of hookup and relaxed traveling. Could not be more pleased.

After totaling my Airstream, Truck and Orange hitch I bought new Airstream and truck but used the hitch from Reese. Dual Cam. After extensive travel with Reese, I was not comfortable at all with the handling and sway. Was tired of white knuckling and decided to go back to Orange.

Saw ProPride ad on Airstream Forums and decided to try the ProPride. Even after 4 years with Orange, I was still having the occasional problem in hooking orange up.

Talked to Sean and was informed that he greatly improved hooking up with new design hitch. That was all it took for me. Finally, installed hitch on Airstream and after initial quirks, got everything properly adjusted and went on first trip.

Everything worked as advertised and hitch performed exceptionally well and eliminated all my sway problems. Hitching up is greatly improved and is not a concern at all. True test will be next week when we leave for Nova Scotia. Will let everybody know how it worked out when we get back.

Good customer service

500 miles of Freeway and small highways, 6 hitch / unhitch
evolutions, the 3P is great.

Very smooth and quite towing and never felt the buses or trucks
when they passed. Also, there was the peace of mind that I did not
have to worry about controlling a sway situation.

I find it easier to hitch up the 3P than a conventional hitch. You
actually have less exacting tolerances for aligning the stinger with
the wide receiver hole than a ball and coupler, you can fine tune all
the angles with the WD bars, the Tongue Twister, and the tongue
crank.

The Rotochoks are the cats meow also.

The first trip my wife and I took in our new 26'Coachman travel trailer, was a disaster. Drove four hours is a spring snow and rain storm almost caused me to sell it the day we came home. My wife wouldn't travel in it again.RV dealer said let's add another anti sway bar. Check internet for my answer of sway control and found out about the Pro Pride. I thought the price was too high. One person online said what's your family worth? Bought the Pro Pride. I took two test trips up and down Chicago's xways and felt some improvement. The next test was Father's day weekend. Awesome hitch. 70 mph can pass trucks, trucks can pass you and weather(drove through two storms)no problem. This hitch might have saved my marriage? Thanks Sean and company. Best money I ever spent.

3P Is Great For Light Weight HTT, Too!, May 25, 2009
Reviewer: SK from Broadview Heights, OH - See all reviews by SK

My friend and I installed a 3P on my Jayco 23B last week. I am happy
to report that it performs great. For the first time, I am able to tow at
65 mph with no stress. Since my HTT has a very light tongue wt ratio
(420/4500#), I was towing mostly at 50 mph previously with many
nervous moments. I started towing the 23B with a Land Rover (7700#
rating) and next a Sierra 1500 (Max Tow- 10500# rating), and went
through EZ Lift and then Equal-i-zer WD systems, none gave me the confidence in towing. I had tried many remedies before, including putting 100# concrete blocks in the front storage, with limited success. With the 3P hitch, it was night and day. It cured this light tongue wt issue instantly. I am extremely happy about it. I bought the 3P originally in preparation for upgrading my TT; however, just for the comfort that I am now getting for pulling this light HTT using this hitch, I think I am getting my money's worth already. Thanks Sean, and most of all, for your 7/24 help.

First Tow, May 21, 2009
Reviewer: Rich from CT - See all reviews by Rich

First tow with PP Roanoke VA to CT
Have towed with the orange.
My impressions:
Only hooked up and unhooked once - I completely forgot to lube the hitch or bar but connected easily.

Towing: Seems tighter than orange.
More stable.
Feel less when big trucks go by.

At first I thought perhaps it was wishful thinking but after 660 miles - very smooth.

Installation is really very simple - especially after the first time.
Two notes regarding:
The yoke tail should be centered (front to back) in frame bracket. I adjusted the frame bracket after the yoke was installed to accomplish this.
The large 3/4 bolts attaching the yoke do not really have to be tightened to 250 lb. (per Sean) - not many carry a torque wrench this heavy.
So far - could not be more pleased!!!

I received my ProPride Hitch on July 18 2008, installed it that weekend. I called Sean with a few installation questions and, he cleared them up in no time!! Took my time to make sure everything came out right. Had to modify a few things on the trailer's tongue so things would fit correctly,(tow chains, small chain and lock to secure the spring clips to the stinger ,front cover). Took off on my test run and hit the freeway!! The Trailer followed straight as an arrow!! The TT used to wiggle a little at 60 MPH and the Tow Vehicle would have to steer left and right to compensate for it with and death-grip on the wheel Now I can drive with one hand lightly holding the steering wheel!!NO MORE DEATH-GRIP!!!! Towing got alot more easier. Thank you Sean from the bottom of my heart!!!! cuda7man1

I recently installed the 3P hitch on a 27 foot Arctic Fox trailer which I tow with a 2007 Ford Expedition EL equipped with a tow package. I had previously used a Reese Dual Cam hitch. Cross wind and semi-trucks passin were horrible. White knuckles all the way.

The installation of the 3P hitch was made easy by following Sean's step by step Installation Manual. The install took about 2.5 to 3 hours. You definitely need two people for the install. It helps to have four hands and two pair of eyes.

For the road test we took the trailer down the highway 40 miles in both directions. We drove in a 35mph crosswind. I was able to drive 65 to 70 mph no problem. Before, I could only manage 50 to 55 mph on the same highway. Now the trailer pulls rock solid. I can barely tell that the trailer is behind me. The stress is gone out of pulling!

I highly recommend this product to anyone pulling a travel trailer.

Sean, you make a great product.

Thanks Pro Pride and Sean Woodruff!!!

What a difference!, April 22, 2009

Recently installed the 3P hitch on a 29 foot Jayco trailer and we pull with a 1/2 ton Dodge truck. We previously used an Equalizer hitch. Our experiences with our previous setup were mostly negative. Any type of cross winds would cause sway in the trailer that would push my truck to the point it felt like the camper was steering the truck. Several times while going down hill we experienced trailer sway that caused me to use the manual trailer brake controller. When tractor trailer rigs would pass us, I would slow down and then accelerate so that I was actively pulling on the trailer so it was not sucked in and then pushed out by the change in air pressure. The 3P hitch has eliminated all of these problems. I do not feel the trailer movements in the stearing of my truck. You might see the trailer move, but you won't feel that movement telegraphed into your tow vehicle. Recently came home from Branson(very hilly) in 30mph crosswinds, no problem! Sean has helped us tremendously.

First and foremost, feel free to check out my personal 3P installation page along with detailed pictures at: (www.thelockharts.com/propride)

In short, I cannot be more thrilled with the ProPride 3P. It simply does what it is supposed to do. Prior to my 3P, I was to the point that I dreaded pulling my travel trailer (32PRD Mountaineer). Now, getting there is half the fun... again! I can feel the sideforce pressure on the tow vehicle (during a strong wind for example), but no longer will the trailer start to sway! It simply tracks as straight as an arrow and performs flawlessly. When I purchased my 3P... I thought I was buying a hitch. When in reality I bought my peace of mind, increased safety, and my enjoyment of camping back. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

In regards to the ProPride team, they are the finest around. Sean is the most gracious and patient person I know. He is the epitome of customer service in an industry that seems to have forgotten what "service" means.

In a time of corporate greed, corruption & Scandal......It certainly was pleasurable to meet another fair stand up businessman. As a small business owner I face Corporate BS with suppliers day in & day out, it was a pleasure to be able to meet and do business with Sean. He is available and always willing to help & answer questions.
The 3P, well its everything it is touted to be!!! When passing tractor trailers I used to have to drive with one hand on the wheel and the other covering My Wife's eyes..........now I can have I hand on the wheel and the other wherever I please....she does not panic and feels safe when towing. I recommend your product and company to all of my fellow Rv'ers every chance I get!!!

I picked up my hitch in june of 2008 and had it professionally installed. The hitch worked excellent on a trip from Detroit to Cape Cod Massachusetts and there were no problems. It is expensive but well worth the price. It is easy to hitch and unhitch once you learn the process. The customerr service was great and all questions were answered before I bought the hitch. The company owner truly cares about the product and his customers.

Outstanding Hitch from an Outstanding Company!, March 08, 2009

This hitch is everything Sean and Company promise it to be. I tow a 24' Star Stream trailer with a Toyota Tacoma. Our last trailer towed great using an Equal-i-zer hitch so I bought another one for our new trailer. Wow, what a scary experience! We were seriously considering selling the truck and buying a Tundra. I was also considering a used Hensley, but then I came across the ProPride 3P. I heard nothing but praise for the hitch. After serious consideration we went ahead and ordered one. With the guarantee that if it didn't control the trailer as advertised we could return it.
Well, add us to the list of satisfied customers! This thing is every bit as perfect as everyone says it is! Towing is once again a pleasure. No more white knuckles or close calls. Just a relaxed drive.

I want to thank Sean for a great American made product, and his outstanding customer service!

Thank you for your guidance, during the assembly of my hitch. I just finished a 400 mile roundtrip weekend, and the hitch worked GREAT! Just as advertised. I'm very pleased. It was money, well-spent. I drove through 35mph cross-winds, with no problem, what-so-ever. No sway from passing trucks. The ride in the truck was even smoother. The 3P hooked up, and unhitched, very easily. I have one more adjustment to make on the hitch bar, and I'm completely done. I think that I found the weight distribution settings that feel good to me. And, needless to say, there were several people that came up and asked about the hitch. I'll be in a crowded campground at the April Texas Motor Speedway NASCAR weekend, and I'm sure many other campers will ask about the hitch. BUT, I think that I want to cover it. Would you recommend a gas grill cover? Anyway, I just wanted to say "thanks" for your time, (sometimes during odd hours), as I was doing the hitch assembly. You have a great product

3P relief, February 19, 2009
Reviewer: Greg from Lexington , KY - See all reviews by Greg

Before the 3P hitch is was ready to sell my truck or trailer or both. I have a 2004 Nissan Titan 4x4 CC and 32 ft Jayco Eagle ~ 8000 lbs. It was a scary drive every time out.

I had already tried 2 other hitches, last being the Reece Dual Cam and added two friction control bars to it. I also added air bags, rear stabilizer, and load range E tires. There was little difference and I was ready to give up.

Then I found out about the 3P.

The first time I out I kept waiting for the usual sway with each passing vehicle or gust of wind.

It never happened! The hitch works as promised and after the second time I used it I was getting relaxed pulling instead of white knuckle driving and arriving at the campground relaxed instead of tense and worn out.

The hitch was easy to install by myself with easy to understand directions.

When you consider the precious cargo you carry, cost of your truck and trailer this is a cheap safety device and I would and DO recommend it to everyone I see.

Greg

First, I have to say, This hitch is all it claims to be. I was a skeptic once, but no more. It took only one trip for this hitch to make me love my truck and trailer again.

Sway induced from Passing vehicles and the worries associated with this were fading with each passing vehicle, especially large vehicles.

Wind was not an issue as it once was. We drove in crosswinds of approx. 30 MPH or more without a worry. It seemed at first it would be difficult to manage in such a wind but it handled it great!

Uneven pavement was also not a worry. The hitch just kept the truck and trailer on the straight and narrow.

Most notable in each of these scenarios was that it didn't require both hands on the steering wheel in terms of white knuckling.

Fatigue was also an issue of trips passed. I simply was not tired from the drive. The hitch definitely made the difference. My trip was far more enjoyable!

Bottom line, I can't wait for my next trip!

Thanks, ProPride!
